剪不斷理還亂…The Entanglement

About NgTom

Three fundamental constituents support my life; they are literature, philosophy and photography. And I am rather glad that I don't really need them to sustain my living. But, it only implies my incompetent.

A beautiful composition, Tom! If I may be so bold, might I suggest that you try brightening your highlights so that the sky is more white than gray? It might help to give it a more abstract and striking feel. -Gary

I thank you for your suggestion, Gary.
It was a misty evening while I took the shot.
Among all the shots, I choose this one.
Perhaps I have to post more shots for your
      further comments…

  2. Another glorious shot, Ng Tom.

As for Gary…hmmm…I wouldn’t pay him much mind.

We are privileged to see your world through your lens, Ng Tom…in the manner you choose.

I appreciate for what you said.
While I see this world through my eyes, I would also like to see this world through the eyes of my dear readers, like the way I do read carefully their blogs, as I read yours.
I take all comments and suggestions in a positive way, especially from those bloggers I follow.
I thank you for your kind concern…

    吼吼~把那黑呼呼的一团crop掉,会不会好些了,就木有那些烦恼了?😉

  5. For me, this is absolutely stunning the way it is.
I like the softeness of the sky and the pearl-grey tones. It is a very handsome and lovely photograph, Tom.

    Nice and delicate photograph….🙂

This is very, very nice. Semi-abstract and delicately rendered. Marvelous.

  9. Whoa. Great shot with the “fingers” reaching to grab the “flyer”. I do think you might try what someone else suggested – can you lighten/brighten the sky which would create more contrast – and bring the “story” forward more? I’m not a photographer – so I’m not much help – but you sure don’t want to lose the sharpness of the branches just to gain sharper focus on the bird.
As it is it’s a terrific shot – says so much

Intriguing image Tom. While I can understand the point about the highlights, I think you were going for a different emotional tone . What I find so interesting about the image and the pearl-grey tones is that could just as easily been a reflection in the water as a direct view of the sky. This adds an extra layer of meaning and ambiguity to the image, which I find appealing.🙂
Will pass the link to the post on to family & friends.
